Zoom Meeting Information

Please check your emails being that I am sending out Zoom meeting information for ELA and Math blocks, Office hours, and individual one on one sessions.

Hope everyone is doing well. I really miss seeing all of the kids every day and am very excited to begin online instruction Wednesday.

Update for the upcoming week

Hello families. Hope you are all doing well and the students are enjoying their spring break this week.  I would like them to have the homework packets with them when we begin online learning next Wednesday because we will review some of the pages they have completed.  I am going to go back and review the last lesson of Chapter 7 and the practice test before giving them an online assessment on that chapter then we will move on to Chapter 8 material.  For ELA, we will be reading the story, The Goat in the Rug, and practicing using the suffixes -y, -ly, and -ful.  We will also be practicing the use of irregular verbs.  We will do reader’s notebook pages whole class and then take the tests online on Friday. I am going to ask Ms. Karly if we will be doing spelling tests; however, if we do decide to do spelling tests, we will probably just have one list so that it is easier for everyone.

Please take care and continue to reach out with questions or concerns. I am looking forward to seeing the kids next week on Zoom and begin our online learning journey together.

Thank you for everything you are doing.

Ms. Lauren (This was also sent out via email).

online learning schedule

Here is the proposed schedule for online learning beginning on Wednesday, April 8th. During the week of April 13th, we will be having parent teacher conferences to discuss your child's third quarter report card and any questions you have. There may be a different schedule during that week to accommodate these meetings, but if we do not change the schedule then I will meet with you at the time I have given your child to have one-on-one meetings with me if that works for you. I will email about parent conferences when it gets closer.

Updates and News

Hello families. I have sent out a variety of things to you over the last two days. I have invited you to Epic, which is a reading website. I also sent out the login information for Let's Go Learn, IXL, and both the Math and Language Arts curriculum. These websites will be very helpful to you and your student in the next few weeks. I will probably assign work on the Math/Language Arts website once we begin online learning. I have already assigned some books through Epic. Lastly, I wanted to remind you to register for the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program and make sure to log your hours by April 1st.  If you need the code or have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

Packet #1

Good morning everyone! Hope you are all doing well. Here is the first packet of homework that was given on Friday before your student left school. Please make sure that they complete the packets and have them ready to turn in on Monday, April 6th.  We will keep you updated on information as we receive it. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].
