The Mysterious Tadpole (story)

Here is the story The Mysterious Tadpole. This is the story we are reading in class during this week and they will have a comprehension test on it this weekend. They may use the story to help them answer the questions on the test.  The test will be on Google Classroom for many of you, but if you would like your student to take it on ThinkCentral let me know and I will assign it that way (I know one family said it can be on ThinkCentral). I will open the Language Arts tests on Friday and they will be due by Monday evening.

Materials Students Need

Hello families! I am so excited to see all the students tomorrow for our first Virtual class session. I would appreciate it if your students could have the following items with them:

1. paper or a notebook
2. pencils or pens
3. ruler
4. the packets

If they do not have these items, they will not be in trouble, but it will make our first three days of learning easier.

I am going to go over expectations, review the packets, review the schedule, and check in with how they are feeling and doing over the first three days.

Thank you for all of your help, and hope to see many of you later!

Art class information

Hello parents. Here is the class code for Ms. Mathilde’s class on Google Classroom - 2tebllo.

You can go on google classroom by signing in with your email address. You will then have to go to the top right hand corner and click on the plus sign. Then click join class and enter the code - 2tebllo. You will then be a part of her class, and she said that the project will be posted on there later. You can look at her website for now to see what she wants you to do.

Thank you. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will relay your questions to Ms. Mathilde.

Mathilde.

Back to School Night Presentation

Hello families. Just a reminder that tomorrow is Back to School Night at 5 P.M. I have already sent out the link with the Zoom invite yesterday. I am very excited to see all of you including the children if you would like them to join us.  I have really missed all of you, students and their families, over the last few weeks we have not been in school.

I am attaching a PowerPoint presentation with information on it to my webpage. I would greatly appreciate it if you have time before tomorrow night to look it over so you can formulate questions and we can make the Back to School Night event the best use of our time and help you all get a better understanding of what is expected from your students over the next few weeks.

While I will be teaching academics and assigning work to do, your student’s social emotional being is also important to me and we will be having more discussions about feelings, kindness, emotions, and coming up with ways to help ourselves still feel connected even though we are apart. I will be doing a kindness challenge and as soon as I have figured out what that looks like I will let you all know.

I am so excited to see everyone tomorrow and to see all the students on Wednesday!  Please take care, stay safe, and reach out if you need anything.

Thank you for all that you are doing to help your students succeed!

Ms. Lauren

Information on Google Classroom

Hello families and students! I know some of you are new to Google Classroom so here attached you will find some tutorials that Ms. Karly has made on how to access and turn things in on Google Classroom. Remember, while you are watching the Google Classroom videos, you are looking at Ms. Karly's class page, but when you log in to our class page you will see that it is very similar. https://youtu.be/3bAcM-AkFlU

Please if your students have not done so already, have them login to their gmail accounts and start looking over the Google classroom site with you.
