Lunch Menus
Students are welcome to bring lunch from home or purchase a hot meal from the school cafeteria. All hot lunches are provided through the Hayward Unified School District and include milk, whole grains, and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables offered daily at our Garden Bar.
Hayward Unified participates in the National School Lunch Program, which allows eligible students to receive meals free or at a reduced cost of $0.40 per meal. If you are interested in applying for this program, please complete the required application forms and return them to the school office as soon as possible. Forms are available in the office or can be sent home upon request.
Additionally, due to the number of students with severe allergies to peanuts and other tree nuts, we kindly request that you refrain from sending any nut products in your child’s lunch. This includes peanut butter, nut-based snacks, and items containing tree nuts. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all students.
If you have any questions about lunches, allergy-safe options, or the meal application process, please don’t hesitate to contact the office.
