TUESDAY April 21st

Good morning parents,
Just a quick recap for todays class. I started this morning by talking to the students about the importance of completing their exams on K6Thinkcentral. Please if you have not completed lesson 25 test I have reopened it until Friday April 24th for your convenience. This morning we started by reviewing the story "The Dot" and we also spoke about figurative language and compare and contrast. Remind your students that "compare" is when two things have something in common (the same) and "contrast" is the difference (how they are the different). As for figurative language remind them that these are words that can have multiple meanings. For example, "Vashti sat glued to her seat after class." We also discussed the meaning of an exclamation mark, remind them that when they see an exclamation mark the reader must read with expression and strong feelings.
Our math lesson consisted of lesson 11.2 and we continued to discuss three dimensional shapes. Today we also discussed combining three dimensional shapes to make a new one. I will list the homework below. Please keep up the good work and once again thank you parents.
ELA: In your readers notebook PGS. 154-155
Math: On Think Central lesson 11.2
Best,
Jesus
