Good morning!

 

This week in Language Arts we are working on compound words, summarizing, author's craft, central idea, the root geo, and suffixes -logy and -logist. Any IXL skill with a star this week will help them this week.

 

In Math, we are starting Chapter 3 which is a chapter on decimals. This week we will be working on the place value of decimals and using pictures and numbers to express decimal numbers. We are also working on putting decimals in order from least to greatest, or greatest to least. I have put a star next to IXL skills that will help them if they are struggling. 

 

This week we are also jumping back into Science, and will be talking about Consumers, and the role they play in an ecosystem.

 

This is the last week for students to submit missing work or test corrections, the quarter ends October 13^th and after that I cannot accept any late, missing, or makeup work. 

 

Parent/teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday October 25^th and Thursday October 26^th from 1:15PM-4:00PM. You can sign up via the Google doc that was emailed to you, or you can let me know a time and I can sign you up, or you can sign up on the paper sign up sheet on my classroom door.

10/12- Parent University at 8:20AM

10/13- Quarter 1 ends

10/16-10/20- Spirit Week

10/17- Mobile Library during school hours

10/24- PTO Meeting at 8:30AM

10-25-10/26- Parent/teacher conferences

10/27- Fall Festival
