Week of 9/5

Good morning,

This week in Math we're going to be talking about multiplication and division, and numerical expressions. In Language Arts we will be talking about long i and o, making inferences, reference materials, literary elements, Greek roots auto and bio, prefixes ir- and il, and author's purpose. We are starting Social Studies this week, and will be learning about the Geography of the United States.

This week starts Let's Go Learn testing. It's important that students try their hardest so we can see accurately where their academic level is and track their progress through the year.

Today starts Homework Club. Homework club ends at 4:15, I am the homework club teacher and students will start by working on their Math homework so that I can help them.

Fall Festival is coming up next month and the staff is making baskets to raffle off at the event. We are asking families who would like to contriubte $1-$5 for the 5th grade raffle basket to bring those donations by 9/22. It is optional, but would be very much appreciated.

Chuck E. Cheese fundraiser is on September 21st from 3:00-9:00PM. Chuck E. Cheese will be donating a percentage of what they earn to the school. Come by and enjoy a fun night with teachers and classmates!
