Good morning!

 

This week in Math we are working on multiplying by 1 digit and 2-digit numbers. The students will have their first Math Quiz tomorrow on lessons 1.1-1.5 and will have review for homework on Tuesday. In Language Arts this week we are working on long a and long e, types of sentences, context clues, Greek root photo and Latin roots aud and vis. In Science this week students are learning about producers, organisms that make their own food using photosynthesis.

 

We will be starting using chrome books in class this week, and students should have their login information for the programs that we use soon. We will be starting Let's Go Learn, the benchmark test we take 3 times a year next week. It's important that students try their hardest on these tests because we use them to group students based on skills they need help with.

 

Please join us Wednesday, August 30^th for Back to School Night. It's a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers and get information about our school year. Back to School Night will be from 5:00PM-6:30PM. I hope to get a chance to meet everybody then!

 

Homework Club will begin on September 5th. Homework Club runs from 3:15-4:15. If your students is planning on attending homework club, please try and have them stay until the end of homework club at 4:15.
