Week of February 21st

Good morning!

This week we are continuing the ELA lesson from last week. Students will take the tests for this lesson on Friday.

We are finishing up Chapter 6 in Math. Chapter 6 is about Adding and Subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. If your student is struggling with finding a common denominator, making equivalent fractions, or with multiplying please let me know and I am happy to give them some extra practice on IXL. The Chapter test will likely be next week on Monday or Tuesday.

Today permission slips are going home for our class field trip. We are going to the Lawrence Hall of Science on Thursday, March 9th. We will need parent chaperones- chaperones will be on a first come first served basis so if you are interested, please indicate that on the permission slip and something will be given to your student if you are selected to chaperone. If more parents than I can accommodate volunteer to chaperone, I will do a random drawing for chaperones. We are asking for a $14 donation to help cover cost of admission and the cost of the 3D film we will be watching.
