Week of April 25th

Good morning!
 
I hope everybody had a great Spring Break, and I am happy to be back with your students! This week in Math, we are starting Chapter 10, which is about comparing and converting different units of measure. This can be a challenging concept for students, so I have put a star next to the IXL practice skills for students. Here's some videos to help students:
 
 
 
 
In Language Arts this week, we will be working on analogies, the suffix -ion, Main Idea and Details, Explaining Historical Events, and Contractions. In Science, we are starting a lesson on How Humans Change Ecosystems. 
 
 
 

Important Dates:
May 2nd and 3rd- School Holiday, No school
May 11th- Math CAASPP Performance Task @8:30AM
May 17th- Math CAASPP Multiple Choice @8:30AM
May 16-20- Teacher Appreciation Week
May 30th-Memorial Day- No school
 
5th Grade also takes a Science CAASPP test, we will take that towards the end of May. I will give the exact date when it gets closer.
