Week of January 31st

Good morning!

This week, our class is working on adding and subtracting fractions by finding a common denominator. Yesterday we worked on finding a common denominator and writing equivalent fractions. That was essential to the rest of this lesson, so if your student is struggling with that, they can work on IXL K.7 for additional practice.  It is also extremely important that students memorize their multiplication facts if they have not already. We are taking the Chapter 6 Math quiz tomorrow February 2nd) which will go over adding and subtracting fractions, as well as finding common denominators and writing equivalent fractions.

Here are some videos that go over our Math lessons for this week:

Monday, February 14th- Valentine's Day. If your student would like to celebrate by bringing Valentine's in for their classmates, I am sending a list home this week of all the student names in our class. If students bring in Valentines, they should bring one for each student.

Lastly, our class is going through Clorox wipes very quickly sanitizing our desks every day. We would appreciate donations of disinfecting wipes if you are able.
