Good Evening Parents!

 

This week we are wrapping up our first lesson in Math covering Addition concepts and being able to represent addition story problems using various models. Our first test will be this Thursday, September 12. We will spend all of Wednesday reviewing, but what you can do is make sure your kids are understanding their math homework when they get home. 

 

We are also starting Lesson 2 in language arts and the theme is WEATHER! We read our book called The Storm and will be practicing the short i sound and the consonants r, h and s, especially when s sounds more like z as in "is" and "was." Parents make sure your kids are reading 20 minutes a day to beef up their comprehension and general reading skills.
