October 2 Update

Good Day all!

As we begin our 3rd month at school, let's check in and make sure we are keeping up with these students. This week students will be getting a math workbook to do their assignments out of. The expectation will be that they will turn in the assignments, ripped out of the book, when they are assigned. Here is a quick schedule of HW for the month.

9/29-10/3: Lesson 4.1-4.3 (Pages 27-32)

10/6-10/10: Lesson 5.1-5.3 (Pages 33-38)

10/13-10/17: Lesson 4 and 5 Study Guides (taken from textbook)

10/20-10/24: Lesson 6.1-6.4 (Pages 39-46)

10/27-10/31: Lesson 6 Study Guide (taken from textbook)

I will be giving out tests on 10/10, 10/17, and 10/29.

Some fundraising opportunities are upon us, as well! We have the KEY Academy Fun Run coming up on October 10th! The school is collecting donations and there is a competition for classes to raise the most money! Search for your students name on the KEY Academy Pledge Drive Website and donate to help our school. We will also be looking for donations for the Fall Festival silent auction, where grade level teams will create fabulous baskets for people to bid on at our annual fall festival.

Events coming up:

October 1 - Bike Mobile

October 8 - Snack Sale

October 10 - Fun Run Fundraiser

October 13 - NO SCHOOL

October 16 - Parent University

October 20-24 - Book Fair

October 24 - Fall Festival

October 31 - Halloween Parade

Looking forward to an eventful month!
Mr. Keith

September 2 Update

Happy "Monday" y'all!

We just passed our first little quiz and students are showing up! I have given out or will be giving back their tests today, depending on the class, and I have offered a chance to the class to make up some points. If they make corrections on the test and bring it back tomorrow, I will give them back half the points they missed.

Homework is being given out daily, so expect them to have homework today, tomorrow, and Thursday.

Thursday is our Back to School Night! The event is from 5:30-7:00pm and all are welcome. I will be introducing the class to families and there to answer any and all of your questions. If you are not able to attend, shoot me an email and I will be happy to send you my slides and answer questions there.

A quick little look ahead:

September 2                 Homework Club Start

September 4                 Back to School Night 5:30 – 7 pm

WELCOME BACK

Happy first week of school y'all!

I have the pleasure, along with Mr. Mendiola, of teaching 7th grade this year. This website will be used as a resource for students who may be absent during the week and would like to check what homework is going to be or on the off chance that a student may have forgotten what they were supposed to do (but our responsible children WOULD NEVER forget something like that right?). It will also be a duplicate of the announcements passed home to students at the end of the day. A good practice will be checking this every Monday or Tuesday to see if students have a test during the week or any important events are approaching!

Take care,
Mr. Keith
