Welcome Letter
Welcome to 2nd Grade!
We are so excited to have your child in our class this year! There are a lot of things we are going to be learning this year. Some examples are; reading comprehension, paragraph writing, addition, and subtraction. School starts every day at 8:15am and it is very important students come to school on time. I understand things happen, so if you need to be absent please inform the school’s office.
Students will have homework nightly which will consist of language arts, math, spelling, and reading. Spelling words and reading logs will be passed out Monday, there will be no assigned homework over the weekend. Detailed homework schedule and assignments will be posted to the school website under your child’s teacher’s page. Please visit this webpage by going to www.keyacademcycharter.org and look under the staff tab to find your child’s teacher.

Homework Week of May 22nd, 2017
Field Trip Reminder
On May 30th, 2017, the students will be going to Century 16 Bay fair Mall for their field trip. Please make sure your student is at school at 8:15 to get ready for the field trip.
____ We will be walking to the theater please bring comfortable shoes.
____No lunch please we will provide a movie snack pack at the theater.
___If you would like to join us at the movie theater you are allowed to come and pay a full price ticket and join our class.
___Our movie will finish at 11:30 you are welcomed to pick up your student from the theater Century 16 Bayfair Mall.
Students will be able to buy extra snacks at the movie theater. Please help us in reducing any issues by talking to your child about not asking other students for money or lending out money to other students. This will help us avoid having any problems between students during the field trip.
