Hello, everyone!
My name is Mr. Marco, and I am so excited to be your 1st grade teacher at Key Academy! I am incredibly happy to welcome you and your child to our classroom. First grade is such a special year because students grow so much academically, socially, and emotionally. I cannot wait to watch your child learn new things, build confidence, make new friends, and discover just how amazing they are!
This will be my fourth year as a teacher, and I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach both Kindergarten and 5th grade. I have loved every grade I have taught, but I am especially excited to begin this new journey with 1st grade! I believe that every child has unique strengths, talents, and abilities, and my goal is to create a classroom where every student feels safe, loved, supported, and excited to learn.
🎓 A Little About Me
I was born and raised in California’s Central Valley and attended California State University, Fresno, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
Teaching is something I truly love because I enjoy watching students grow from the beginning of the year to the end. Seeing a student learn to read a new word, solve a challenging math problem, become more confident, or proudly share something they have learned is one of the most rewarding parts of being a teacher.
