About Me

Hello! My name is Mr. Gabe, and I have been working with the Key Academy team since the 2022-2023 school year. I am one of the School Counselors, and I work mostly with the Middle School students (6th-8th grade). 

 

I am a native of New Jersey, and I have lived in the Bay Area since 2010. I completed my M.A. in School Counseling at UMass Global. I am also passionate about music and playing the piano, and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Rutgers University. Before getting involved in School Counseling, I spent many years working with children and youth as a piano teacher and as an ESL teacher. I also run a Music Club at Key Academy as part of our after school ELOP program. 

 

When I'm not working at school or working on music, I also enjoy cooking, hiking, traveling, and watching basketball.
