November is right around the corner. We are so excited to close another month of learning and start new wonderful creative lessons in the month of November. The students are starting to master their addition and subtraction skills this month. I have seen a huge improvement in their writing as they are trying so hard to remember their punctuation. I am so happy to have seen the families that came to Fall Festival. Thank you to all the families who support our kids here at Key Academy. November is a time to give thanks. Being Thankful is truly amazing for all the wonderful things we have in our lives. I am thankful for all of you here at Key. The kids are so flexible and are ready to go go go.

October will be a fun and busy month. We have parent conference  coming towards the end of the month along with minimum days on those days. We have Fall Festival on Oct 25th. Please come and celebrate the fall festival dressed in your coolest costume. We are diving into double digit addition and this chapter for math is a big one! Ch 3 covers addition problems 10+10 or 12+14 and this chapter is a little tough for most students in 1st grade. We will be taking our time and spreading this chapter into many weeks so we can learn most effectively for the students. Language arts will continue to be our weekly stories! The kids love acting out our stories weekly as they love to "be on stage".
