Weekly Homework

Course Description

Week of 6/6 and 6/13

There are no homework assignments for these two weeks. Students are continuing to learn. However, due to school activities and this Thursday’s field trip, I’ve decided to simply teach and allow my students to learn unburdened.

In today’s math class, students had fun learning Perimeter. This was their second day on this topic. Tomorrow they will start learning about Area. We are reading everyday right now trying to finish our literature book, “Hatchet”. This Thursday is our all day field trip to Mission Santa Clara. Monday of next week will be cartoon day. Students will tell a story about their life through cartoons. It’s a creative way to express themselves with a sense of humor.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week will be half days. Since next Thursday is our last day of school, if parents would like to bring a treat for the students to enjoy, that would be great.

Classwork will be coming home with students almost every day as we slowly cleanup the room

Lastly, there were two serving spoons left behind from International Day. If they are yours, please let me know and I’ll send it home with your student. J

New job!

We will be adding a new job to the Jobs Chart tomorrow.  This will need two students. It is called Computer Assistant.  You will turn on the laptop computers, click on the Let's Go Learn icon, enlarge the screen, gently hang the earphones over the computer monitor and place the mouse lightly on the keyboard pad. Lastly, type in the ID and password of the assigned students for that morning's work.  This is a big job that takes me time every morning to get setup so this will be a big help.  :-)

EVERYONE NEEDS TO TURN IN THEIR FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIPS (2) TOMORROW. PLEASE BRING $5.00 TO HELP PAY FOR YOUR PIZZA LUNCH. 'SAVE THE BAY' FIELD TRIP IS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 9.
