We have been reviewing most of this week and the review will go home tonight for homework. It is due Monday, the day of the test.

This lesson was a little difficult. Students learned two different methods and can use either method on their homework. We took notes in class and the students were encouraged to bring their notes home so they could be successful on their homework.

It it would be a good idea for students to review long division for the rest of this chapter. Students can go on IXL for extra practice. 

Math lesson 5.1 we started Chapter 5 in Math today, Chapter 5 is about dividing decimals. 

No Math homework tonight. There are some reading questions the students had to do for homework if they did not finish in class today. If they finished in class, they just have the regular reading log and spelling homework. 

Math Chapter 4 Review Test. We will go over Chapter 4 today in class and the Review Test before they do it for homework. Chapter 4 Math Test will be tomorrow, Tuesday November 27th.

We started Chapter 3 and looked at decimal place value today. 

Personal Narrative Final Draft. Students have been working hard to write their Personal Narratives and they are due Wednesday, October 10th. These Narratives are worth quite a bit of their writing grade, so it is important that your student works hard and gets their final draft turned in on time.

Students enjoyed this lesson and most seemed to have a fairly easy time with the concept.

Students also got Reading Logs today. They are to read for 30 minutes nightly and answer the Reading Log question for the day. Reading Logs get signed by a parent or guardian each night, and are returned Monday.

 

Spelling, just like last week, will be due Friday.
