Good morning parents,
It was awesome seeing the students log on to their computers this morning. Please keep up the great work. Just a short recap of today. We started lesson 26 in Language Arts and the students were introduced to their new spelling words and high-frequency words, which I will list below so you guys can practice them. These are their words to know; above, pushed, teacher, bear, studied, toward, even, surprised. The following words are their spelling words and they are base words with endings -ed and -ing; mix, mixed, hop, hopped, hope, hoping, run, running, use, used. Also, we began read our anchor text which is titled "The Dot." In addition, students were also introduced to this week target skills which are compare and contrast and figurative language.
We also began lesson 11.1 in math and talked about three dimensional shapes such as a sphere, cube, rectangular prism, cone, and cylinder. I will list todays homework below which will consist of math on think central and language arts in their Readers Notebook and IXL. Please parents continue to log on and have your child complete their homework. Thank you for your continuous supporta nd understanding. Have a great rest of your day.
