Hello Key Academy parents and students, I am Ms.Jennifer Gomez. I am the second grade teacher at Key Academy in Hayward. This will be my 9th year teaching at Key Academy, I couldn’t be happier to be here again with such great staff and students. A few things about me, I graduated from California State University Stanislaus. I received my Masters' Degree from Santa Clara State University.  I was raised in the central valley. One of my favorite ways to spend my free time is watching  movies. I hope everyone had a great summer!

Agenda Sept 14

Good Afternoon, I have attached the agenda for the week of September 14, 2020. Students will have a language arts test on Friday September 18,2020 on K6 Think Central. Also please remember to have your student complete the homework via IXL. During independent work time please have your student log on to google classroom to complete their journal. I am also available to answer any question via zoom during those times of independent work.

Independent Work 9-10am

Good Afternoon, Tomorrow during independent work time from 9-10am, I would like students to work on google classroom completing a journal entry. I have attached a link to video with instructions on how to complete the assignement.

Good Afternoon, All books and computers for our class have arrived. If you picked up textbooks and did not receive a math book they are now at the school. School lunch is available please contact the school for more information about the lunch program. We recommend that all students have a school computer, I will be sending out log in information for google classroom. If you have signed in to google classroom before and changed your password I have not reset the password. Please email me or send me a message with any questions. Math Work

These are pages we will be working on starting August 13, 2020. If you came to pick up books you might already have the packet, some might not have gotten it. We will be working on this packet during class time it is not homework.

Epic

Thank you for all the students that logged on to class today! I went over some information with the students today. I will list some websites we went over and will be using in class. We will passing out books and other materials today after 1pm if you are to come today August 12 or tomorrow August 13. I talked to the students about logging into IXL to complete the diagnostic, they could log on and work on it for about 15 minutes.
