After School Program

After School Program (3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m.)

Come join us in the afternoon for KEY Academy's after school program! The after school program offers enrichment classes as well as academic assistance and homework help from 3:15-4:15 pm.

Knights Watch (4:15 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.)

Our extended after school program provides classes that are lively, informative and interesting. Our flexible programming enables parents to enroll their child as much or as little as necessary.

KEY BUILDING
Mondays
Everybody likes to build! Creating new objects has always been at the core of human existence, and is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling activities for the old as well as the young. In KEY Building, your child will learn many basic building techniques and will be encouraged to put their imaginations and hands to work in making their ideas turn into reality.

TEAM SPORTS
Tuesdays
Students will participate in various organized games. These easy activities for kids make exercise so much fun that your children won't notice they're working out. When you motivate children to exercise, they will be happier, healthier, and more focused!

BOARD GAMES
Wednesdays
Whether in games of chance or games of skill, board games are an incredible source of fun, social interaction, and mental activity. Students in this club will play many of their favorite board games, and even learn some new ones to teach their parents. Kids will learn multiple strategies and styles of play from our Apollo staff, for many timeless games that they can play with friends and family across their lifetime, with healthy instruction in the value of good sportsmanship and critical thinking along the way!

STORYTELLING

Thursdays
While it may seem like everywhere your child turns there is a touch-screen calling to them, there is still nothing that opens up the world of imagination and possibility like a good book. In this club students will join the next generation of readers and thinkers through age appropriate print and literature. By reading both quietly and out loud, Book Club students will greatly improve their ability to determine meaning from the written word along with public speaking skills and listening skills. Each reading experience will be guided by our  staff and will include a group discussion to encourage the exchange of ideas and individual interpretations. Watch your child discover more about their world through a book - great readers often become great thinkers!

FRIDAY AT THE MOVIES & FRIDAY ART

Fridays

Visual media is a pervasive element of contemporary life. Students will become movie critics and actively engage in analyzing, critiquing, and reviewing films. They will have opportunities to share their impressions with their peers. Students will learn to critique the visual messages they're bombarded with as well as write reviews about media they enjoy.
