Hello! My name is Lauren Dascole. I am excited to be returning to KEY Academy this year! I will be teaching sixth grade this year. I am looking forward to getting to know my students and their families this year. While this is my sixth year teaching at KEY, this is my fourteenth overall year teaching. I have taught all grades from 1st to 6th. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and helping my students achieve their dreams and academic success. Some fun facts about me: I love the New York Mets, the Golden State Warriors and anything Disney. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, bowling and hanging out with family and friends.

Week of 10/20

Hello families. The story will be Kamishibai Man.  The vocabulary and spelling words are the same as last week. We will take the Lesson 9 ELA tests this Friday, 10/23.  Remember that this week we are on a minimum day schedule, which means Friday schedule for Zoom.  There will be no small groups this week due to parent-teacher conferences. Please make sure you sign up for a meeting on the schedule I emailed out last week.  Thank you and looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you this week!

Missing Homework - MUST BE TURNED IN!

Please make sure your students turn in any missing homework by Monday, 10/12, at 8 PM or it will be marked as a zero.

Interim Tests this week

Hello families!  I will be going over how to access the state testing website Tuesday afternoon in class and we will be looking at an example of the test that they will take later in the week on their own.  You may help them log in to the test website, but you may not help them on the test.  This test should take about an hour to complete.  It is okay if it takes them longer though.  I will be sending out login information via email - so please keep an eye out.
 
Because of this test being given, our agenda may not go according to plan for ELA this week.
 
We will also be finishing our Let's Go Learn tests this week.

Missing Homework Due Date

Hello families. All of your student's missing homework will be due Monday, 10/12, at the latest!  If you can turn it in earlier that would be appreciated.  Also, please keep an eye out for emails regarding students' missing homework!
